One White Linen Dress Styled Three Ways
Now that spring is officially here, it’s not so crazy to be thinking of all the warm weather days ahead. That means dresses and shorts, sandals and suntans…ah…I can’t wait! Our season started quite early and we’ve been reaping the rewards with luscious spring flowers and sunshine. That means I’ve been able to pull out my seasonal staples early, along with some new favorite additions. One piece that I’m really looking forward to wearing on repeat over the next couple of months is this simple white Theory linen dress.
I always believe at the start of a really good outfit lies a classic closet staple. One of those pieces that can be styled a multitude of ways to recreate a handful of different looks, but that’s always just great on its own as well. Case in point, this white Theory linen dress. I love linen. I love the texture and ease it brings to a look. There’s always something so effortless about the fabric. This little white dress sets the perfect foundation for many spring and summer outfits. To show a bit of its versatility, I styled it three ways with a few other Theory pieces from their new collection.
I wanted to start first by showing how chic the dress looks on its own. It really doesn’t need much, just a simple pair of slides or espadrilles to pull it together. I would even add a great statement earring for a warm evening dinner. For the second look, I added a striped short-sleeved Theory button down under the dress, which is always a great seasonal transition tip. You can even add a long sleeve version to make it feel more work appropriate and styled with some cute loafers. My last look is my favorite because I’m seriously obsessed with this Theory linen moto jacket. The color! I’m going to wear this over everything- all my dresses, white tee and jeans, skirts- you name it! I love the linen on linen look when paired with the dress. It’s the ultimate weekend-ready look. The final touch is this gorgeous Theory bag in a dusty blue shade to add a pop of color to this all neutral outfit.
