Air Jordan 1 and React Cushioning Combine to Form Jordan Apex Utility
While the retro market is largely and consistently owned by Jordan Brand, many of those sneakers that generate millions of dollars annually aren’t on-court performance sneakers. Still, Jordan is a brand based in innovation and performance, which lends to their need to create in that space and see those creations mirror the triumphs of its retro output.
Certainly steering the course in modern-day with the Air Jordan 33 and Russell Westbrook’s widely impressive Why Not Zer0.2, Jordan Brand hopes to continue to find grace with its upcoming Utility series. Among the most intriguing styles of that ilk is the Jordan Apex Utility.
Forging the timeless nature of the Air Jordan 1 with the impact of contemporary React cushioning, aesthetic pleasures that lend to the importance of the React Element 87 also crown the Apex Utility through its translucent shroud cover. Pulleys appear around the heel to harness lockdown while an ankle collar is split from the top of the tongue to offer an easier entry point.
Different from the hallmark Air Jordan 33 is the invisibility of the Jumpman logo. Only seen at the bottom of the shoe to lend credence the performance models no-nonsense approach, lightweight Flyknit resides beneath the aforementioned translucent shroud in Black/Red.
Look for the Jordan Apex Utility at select Jordan Brand retailers soon.
